ZZ Top

ZZ Top is the legendary American rock band formed in Houston, Texas, in 1969—the “little ol’ band from Texas” built on Billy Gibbons’ blues guitar, Frank Beard’s drums, and (until 2021) Dusty Hill’s bass and vocals. Early albums Tres Hombres (1973) and Fandango! (1975) delivered classic-rock staples “La Grange” and “Tush”; the Worldwide Texas Tour cemented their live myth. The 1980s Eliminator and Afterburner era fused blues-boogie with MTV synth-rock smash videos for “Gimme All Your Lovin’,” “Sharp Dressed Man,” and “Legs,” selling tens of millions and defining their bearded, sharp-dressed image.

Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004, with estimated sales near 50 million records, the band continues on the road with longtime tech Elwood Francis on bass after Hill’s death in 2021—still packing arenas on Elevation and co-headline packages. Expect Texas blues-rock, Eliminator-era hits, and arena boogie when ZZ Top rolls through major Texas and U.S. venues.
