Zeds Dead

Zeds Dead is the Toronto electronic duo of Dylan “DC” Mamid and Zachary “Hooks” Rapp-Rovan—formed 2009 after hip-hop roots as Mass Productions, named for the Pulp Fiction “Zed’s dead” line. They fuse dubstep, UK garage, house, trap, glitch, drum and bass, and hip-hop into festival-scale bass music; Mad Decent / Ultra eras (Hot Sauce, Somewhere Else with Twin Shadow) led to Deadbeats label, debut LP Northern Lights (Rivers Cuomo, Pusha T, Diplo features), Altered States imprint, Catching Z’s, and Journey of a Lifetime–scale touring.
