Yo-Yo Ma

Yo-Yo Ma is among the most celebrated cellists of the recording era—Paris-born, New York–raised virtuoso whose Bach Cello Suites breakthrough (1983) opened a career that spans classical core repertoire and boundary-crossing collabs. Hush with Bobby McFerrin, The Goat Rodeo Sessions with Chris Thile and Stuart Duncan, Silk Road Ensemble projects, and Songs of Comfort and Hope frame an interpreter as comfortable in bluegrass and jazz dialogue as in Beethoven and Bach. Multiple Grammys, global residencies, and the Our Common Nature / Earth Hymn humanitarian lane keep the cello in conversation with the planet and the public—not a distant museum act.

yo-yoma.com and @yoyoma post projects. Expect transcendent cello craft when Yo-Yo Ma hits the stage—world-class virtuoso, not a random open-mic Yo.
