Will Southern

Will Southern is a North Carolina–raised country and hillbilly singer who made Austin's Sixth Street circuit a second home—especially San Jac Saloon, where he ranks among the venue's most frequently billed acts across years of public Google Calendar history. Hailing from the mountains of North Carolina, Southern specializes in country and hillbilly music with a working-musician energy built for dance floors, early sets, and full-band nights that keep regulars and walk-up crowds locked in.

Billed solo, duo, and as the Will Southern Band, he has shared San Jac stages with other Sixth Street fixtures and built a reputation for authentic Appalachian-rooted country that still fits Texas bar rooms. Venue posts and event notes frame him as a roadhouse-ready act: classic country storytelling, high-energy covers, and original material that rides the line between mountain tradition and modern Texas country grit.

On HeyAustin, Will Southern is cataloged so San Jac and other listings can match by name and inherit a full artist profile—bio, socials, and imagery—when the calendar only prints an act name and a start time.
