Waxahachie Horns

The Waxahachie Horns are a Texas brass-and-woodwind ensemble led by multi-instrumentalist Eric Hargett—Elephant Room and Monks Jazz Club favorites who debut funky originals and groove tunes with massive horn injection. The project sits at the crossroads of jazz, soul, and Texas groove rather than stiff classical brass; venue copy frames Hargett leading the band down the funky steps with a premier Lone Star horn sound built for club basements and jazz-society series. Austin Chronicle calendar nights and Jazz Near You listings keep them on the downtown jazz circuit alongside the city’s best sidemen.

Expect funky horn-section jazz and groove when the Waxahachie Horns hit the stage—Eric Hargett’s Texas brass crew, not a high-school marching-band fundraiser from Waxahachie alone.
