$uicideboy$

$uicideboy$ are a New Orleans rap duo formed by cousins Scott Arceneaux Jr., known as $crim, and Aristos Petrou, known as Ruby da Cherry. Since emerging in 2014, they have built a massive independent following with a dark, abrasive sound that combines Southern hip-hop, trap, horrorcore, cloud rap and punk intensity.

Their songs frequently confront addiction, depression, self-destruction, alienation and recovery, delivered through distorted production, Memphis-rap samples, heavy bass and alternating vocal styles. Tracks including “Paris,” “Kill Yourself (Part III),” “Antarctica” and “…And to Those I Love, Thanks for Sticking Around” helped move the duo from the underground into arenas without softening their sound.

$uicideboy$ also founded G*59 Records, creating an independent home for artists including Germ, Ramirez, Shakewell and Night Lovell. Albums such as I Want to Die in New Orleans, Sing Me a Lullaby, My Sweet Temptation and New World Depression have expanded their reach while keeping their music raw, bleak and deeply connected to the audience that grew with them.
