About

TV Star is a Seattle/Tacoma-based band that blends psychedelic rock, shoegaze, jangle pop, garage rock and understated alt-country influences. Formed in 2020, the group grew from a shared appreciation for hazy 1990s guitar music and artists who operated outside conventional country and indie-rock boundaries. The lineup includes vocalist and keyboardist Ashlyn Nagel, guitarists Bryan Coats and Che Hise-Gattone, bassist Mark Palm and drummer Tucker Devault. Together, they create music filled with fuzzy guitars, dreamy vocal textures, loose rhythms and melodies that feel both nostalgic and slightly unpredictable.

TV Star introduced its evolving sound through releases including Hallucinate Me, TV3 and the collaborative TVXP project with Spiral XP. Their music moves comfortably between noisy psychedelic passages, melodic indie pop and twangy, lived-in rock and roll, giving the band an identity that is difficult to place inside one genre.

The band’s 2026 album, Music For Heads, expands that approach across songs recorded in Anacortes and Seattle. The record combines jangling guitars, psych-pop atmosphere and relaxed indie-rock songwriting, capturing a sound that feels deeply influenced by the past without becoming a simple revival.
