Tom Florida

Tom Florida is an Austin-based songwriter whose sets show up across the city's dive-bar and songwriter rooms—Carousel Lounge, Hole in the Wall, and other small stages where the crowd is close enough to hear every lyric. His Bandcamp and YouTube presence point to a DIY approach: original material delivered with a raw, personal edge rather than a big-band production.

Florida often shares bills with other local writers and appears on free songwriter happy-hour lineups, the kind of early-evening programming that keeps Austin's original-music circuit alive between headline nights. Expect guitar-forward songs, unfussy arrangements, and a set that rewards listening more than dancing.

He's a regular on the local calendar—worth catching if you're hunting for new Austin songwriting outside the big-ticket venues.
