TJ Wicks and the Top Hands

TJ Wicks & the Top Hands come out of Cherokee County, Oklahoma, carrying a rowdy strain of American roots music built from honky-tonk country, western swing, blues and hard-driving rock ’n’ roll. They are not an Austin band exactly, but they have become regular visitors to Central Texas stages, bringing their dance-floor-ready country sound to roadhouses, dive bars and traditional honky-tonks around the region.

Their music has the loose swing and lived-in grit of a working road band—twanging guitars, sturdy rhythms and songs that sound best with cold beer nearby and plenty of room for dancing.
