The Southsiders are a stalwart Austin blues band featuring Memphis-born singer Marcus “T†Tharpe—active on the ATX circuit since roughly 2007–2008 with Skylark, Friends Bar, and HAAM-lineup dates. The book mixes originals with Otis Rush, Johnny “Guitar†Watson, Sam Myers, Paul Butterfield, and Domino-era rock & roll: maximum blues, soul, and ’50s–’60s swagger rather than endless jam-band noodling.
