The Mavericks & Friends

The Mavericks are the Grammy-winning Miami-formed country and roots band built around the late Raul Malo’s Cuban-American voice—fusing traditional country, rock & roll, Tex-Mex, and Latin swagger since 1989. Classic lineup threads include Paul Deakin (drums), Eddie Perez (guitar), Jerry Dale McFadden (keys), and earlier Robert Reynolds; ’90s MCA hits such as “All You Ever Do Is Bring Me Down” made them country-radio staples before independent reinvention in the 2010s.

Following Malo’s death from colon cancer in 2025, the band continues touring with guest vocalists (including James Otto and Emily West on 2026 dates)—the “& Friends” listing reflects that living-catalog era. Expect multicultural American roots, accordion-adjacent twang, and dance-floor country when The Mavericks & Friends hit the stage.
