The Drakes

The Drakes are the Austin rock-and-roll sidemen collective—together since fall 2006—whose high-octane bar-band heat, powerhouse vocals, and Cale-to-Terry-Allen skill put free early bills and tip-jar residencies on Saxon Pub and Continental Club calendars as the Chronicle’s greatest bar band standard-bearer across town. @theDrakesAustin tracks the evolution when the sidemen get together for rooms that want real rock craft, not soft soft-background cover wallpaper. Sidemen unite energy, still The Drakes every single night on the road and stage around Austin.

Expect rock-and-roll heat when The Drakes hits the stage—Saxon Pub fire and pure joy, not a random open-mic Drakes karaoke.
