Christine Albert has been a cornerstone of Austin's music community since the early 1980s, admired as much for her songwriting as for her commitment to preserving the city's musical spirit.
Whether performing with her longtime musical partner and husband Chris Gage or leading her own band, Albert delivers a heartfelt mix of Americana, folk, country, and Texas roots music built around warm vocals, rich harmonies, and beautifully crafted songs.
Beyond the stage, she's the founder of the Austin nonprofit Swan Songs, which fulfills musical last wishes for those nearing the end of life, and she's served as Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Recording Academy (the GRAMMY organization).
Her live shows capture the welcoming, community-driven spirit that has made her one of Austin's most respected and enduring artists.
