Texas Rebels

Texas Rebels are an Austin power trio playing a loud, stripped-down mix of blues and straight-ahead rock and roll. The band keeps things lean and physical, building its sound around gritty guitar, a hard-hitting rhythm section and live performances that favor energy over polish.

They describe themselves simply as an Austin rock-and-roll band, but there is plenty of Texas blues in the mix, along with the loose swagger of a group built for small clubs and late-night stages.

The Rebels have become active around Austin rooms including Hotel Vegas, the Continental Club and Austin Garden Studio, where they have also hosted open jams that bring local players into the fold.

Their growing catalog includes songs such as “Wish,” “Never Mine,” “I Got Me” and “Swang n Bang.” Texas Rebels are still a young band, but their appeal is easy to understand: loud guitars, sturdy grooves and the kind of no-frills rock show that still feels right at home in Austin.
