Surrogates

Surrogates are the Minneapolis hardcore punk outfit—core members who broke up around 2016, briefly resurfaced under names like Idea Licker, then locked back into Surrogates with a new front line for a pure ripper era. 2022 self-titled EP (Bandcamp: Intro/Rooftop, Repellent, Mirror, Rotten, Waste, Apple Pie, Conform) pairs Adam Peterson–level unassailable beats with surf-reverb swagger, snotty dual energy, and metallic edge peers tag beside Warthog / Electric Chair urgency. Twin Cities DIY rooms (Ivy Building, Extreme Noise bills with Iron Lung, Physique, Destruct) and international hardcore dates carry the Waste-era paranoia sprint—not Austin garage-pop wallpaper.

surrogatesmpls.bandcamp.com hosts the catalog. Expect metallic hardcore punk when Surrogates hit the stage—Minneapolis HC lifers, not a sci-fi movie tribute act.
