String Theory

String Theory is the Austin roots-rock act behind the long-running String Theory Thursday residency at Carousel Lounge (1110 E 52nd)—and earlier String Theory Tuesday nights at The Parlor—guitar-forward songwriter rock with rotating special guests. Bills often share the night with Eric Hisaw as a separate co-feature, plus guests such as John Wesley Coleman III, Steve Chapman, and Mason Kinard after hiatus returns. The residency format is East Austin club culture: two-hour windows, full bar, and a loyal Thursday crowd rather than a festival one-off.

Listings may read “String Theory Thursday w/ Eric Hisaw,” but String Theory and Eric Hisaw are distinct artists on the same night. Expect roots rock, guest spots, and Carousel Lounge ritual when String Theory holds down Thursday.
