Strange Dayz - A Doors Tribute

Strange Dayz is an Austin-based tribute band dedicated to recreating the music, atmosphere and psychedelic intensity of The Doors. The group approaches the catalog with attention to the distinctive elements that made the original band so recognizable: dramatic vocals, swirling organ, blues-rooted guitar and loose, jazz-influenced rhythms.

Their performances draw from well-known songs such as “Light My Fire,” “Break On Through,” “People Are Strange” and “Roadhouse Blues,” while also reaching deeper into The Doors’ albums for longtime fans.

Rather than simply playing familiar classic-rock covers, Strange Dayz aims to capture the unpredictable energy and dark theatrical mood associated with a live Doors performance.

The band’s sound moves between hypnotic psychedelia, raw blues and driving rock, giving the music room to stretch and breathe.

Strange Dayz offers audiences a chance to experience one of rock history’s most distinctive catalogs performed with respect, energy and a strong sense of atmosphere.
