Sploot

Sploot is an Austin rock band featuring Wayne Dalchau on bass, Abraham Van Vleck on drums, Alex Sylva on guitar and vocals, and Lauren Fogel. The group describes its shows simply as “the rock music,” with an energetic, playful live presence rooted in Austin’s independent club and backyard-show scene.

The band has appeared around Austin at informal and traditional live-music events, including performances connected with venues and local businesses on East Cesar Chavez. Their bills often pair them with other emerging regional acts, giving their shows a loose, community-oriented feel.
