Soulhat

Soulhat is the Austin rock institution formed 1990 by Southwestern University alumni Kevin McKinney, Bill Cassis, and Brian Walsh—later with legendary drummer Barry “Frosty” Smith of Funkadelic fame—whose Bonecrusher Mainstream Rock chart heat, Epic Records years, Black Cat Lounge jams, and Antone’s sold-out reunions put blues-funk-southern-rock craft on the early-to-mid-’90s Austin sound map. soulhat.net and Spotify track reunion bills for rooms that want real rock craft, not soft soft-jam wallpaper. Still has IT, still Soulhat every single night on the road and stage around Austin.

Expect ATX jam-rock heat when Soulhat hits the stage—Bonecrusher fire, not a random open-mic Soul karaoke.
