About
Schur is the project of New York City–based musician Andrew Schur—an indie-rock songwriter who blends raw rock energy with hip-hop rhythm and a touch of reggae. Raised on classic rock (Led Zeppelin, The Who, Stones) with his brother/bassist Zach before discovering hip-hop as a teen, he writes and records from his NYC apartment and performs with a tight circle of friends (including pianist Drew and drummer Adam) on the road.
He built a streaming audience with frequent singles—tracks such as “Timezones,” “Testarossa,” “Nice Things,” and “White Lines” racking up millions of plays—and has described periods of releasing a song every two weeks while quitting day-job life for full-time music. Official site schurmusic.com and Instagram @andrew_schur push the No Shortcuts Tour, European dates, and new cuts aimed at club rooms. Expect guitar-forward indie rock with rhythmic bounce when Schur hits U.S. stages.
