Sammy Arriaga

About

Sammy Arriaga is an independent country singer-songwriter known for pioneering a unique "Country Latino" sound that fuses traditional Nashville storytelling with infectious Latin rhythms.

Born in Miami, Florida, to Cuban immigrant parents, the first-generation American moved to Nashville in 2011 to carve out a distinct lane in a genre where Hispanic representation has historically been low.

By unapologetically embracing his roots, he crafts a signature musical blend he affectionately describes as "banjos and bongos," incorporating elements like the accordion, congas, and worldly beats into contemporary country music.

Arriaga has amassed over 100 million global streams and built a massive digital following by releasing highly authentic, bilingual music. His catalog is anchored by projects like his Seven Roses series and his album Heart in Texas, which frequently feature tracks released in both English and Spanish, as well as Spanglish covers of iconic country tracks.

Beyond his genre-bending sound, Arriaga is also recognized as a digital trailblazer in the independent music space, having become one of the first mainstream artists to successfully fund and distribute his work utilizing music NFTs.
