Sam Downing and the Bandits

Sam Downing & The Bandits are the Central Texas / Hill Country country-folk unit—Sam Downing the songwriter front with The Bandits as the live and studio core behind honky-tonk originals and roots favorites. Singles So Divine, Hero, Boxcar Bill, Finding My Way Back to You, and Western Movie lead toward the Storyteller debut era; Cheatham Street Warehouse, Ghost Note Brewing, Jack’s Roadhouse, Hole in the Wall, and SXSW-adjacent showcases keep the two-step calendar full. Dad-engineered sessions and Bandits-forever credits make it a family-and-friends Texas songbird project—not a random open-mic Sam.
