Ryan Lawless

Ryan Lawless is one of those Austin musicians who refuses to stay in a single lane. His music blends blues, classic rock, soul, R&B and country into a sound that feels both timeless and unmistakably Texan. Drawing inspiration from artists like Bonnie Raitt, ZZ Top, Eric Clapton and Tab Benoit, Lawless writes songs that balance memorable hooks with musicianship, favoring groove and feel over flash.

A native Texan, Lawless returned to Austin to study music and immerse himself in the city's legendary live scene. Years of performing, writing and producing have shaped a style that is equal parts thoughtful songwriter and seasoned bandleader. His 2024 album New Gold showcases warm Hammond B3 organ, Fender Rhodes, soulful harmonies and blues-infused guitar work, while 2025's single "Don't Leave Your Light On" continues his evolution as a songwriter with polished production and heartfelt storytelling.
