About
Johnathan Riley Green (born 18 October 1988 in Jacksonville, Alabama) is a CMA- and ACM-winning country singer-songwriter known for no-gimmick, small-town storytelling and traditional country feel. He learned guitar and stage craft around his grandfather Buford Green’s Golden Saw Music Hall, played Division I FCS quarterback at Jacksonville State, and even appeared on CMT’s Redneck Island before a slow-build music career that included framing houses by day and bar gigs by night until a Nashville deal in his late twenties.
Signed to Nashville Harbor Records & Entertainment (formerly BMLG) since 2018, Green broke through with Different ’Round Here (2019)—home to multi-platinum “There Was This Girl” and “I Wish Grandpas Never Died”—then Ain’t My Last Rodeo (2023) and Don’t Mind If I Do (2024, produced by Dann Huff). Collaborations such as “Half of Me” with Thomas Rhett and ongoing singles like “Think As You Drunk” keep him on country radio and arena-scale tours while he still ties identity to Jacksonville, hunting, outdoors life, and songs that feel written for the people who raised him.
Expect classic modern country—grandpas, trucks, hometown pride, and ballads that land hard live—when Riley Green hits Texas markets on headline and festival bills.
