Rachel Spencer Quintet

Rachel Spencer is the Austin jazz trumpeter and DMA educator—UT Jazz Lead TA turned freelance leader whose quintet packs Monks Jazz Club, the Elephant Room, Parker Jazz Club, and free community stages with originals, Blue Mitchell–lyric swing, and soulful hard-bop heat. Presser Graduate Music Award funding debut album The Next Right Thing (fall 2026); stages with Graham Reynolds, Andre Hayward, Diego Rivera, and the second North American tour of The Addams Family as lead trumpet. Bluecoats DCI alum and Austin Jazz Society board member—clear, expressive tone for rooms that want real jazz trumpet leadership, not a student recital billing.

rachelspencermusic.com and @rachelspencermusic post dates. Expect swinging Austin jazz trumpet when the Rachel Spencer Quintet hits the stage—UT DMA powerhouse, not a random open-mic Rachel.
