Poet Hawkins

Poet Hawkins is an Austin-based singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist whose music blends Americana, soul and indie rock with a warm, personal storytelling style.

Often performing from behind the piano, Hawkins builds songs around expressive vocals, thoughtful lyrics and melodies that feel intimate without losing their live energy.

His sound moves comfortably between reflective singer-songwriter material and fuller, soulful arrangements, giving the music a modern Austin feel while staying rooted in classic American songwriting.

Hawkins has continued building a local following through performances around the city and the release of original music, including Last Good Years.

Whether playing a stripped-down solo set or working with a larger arrangement, Poet Hawkins brings an honest, emotionally direct approach that fits naturally into Austin’s wide-ranging independent music scene.
