PJ3

PJ3 is an Austin-based Pearl Jam tribute built around the songs, grit and emotional voltage of one of the defining bands of the ’90s. Led by Austin songwriter and vocalist Neel Cole, the trio digs into Pearl Jam’s catalog without turning the performance into a stiff impersonation act. The hooks and guitar weight are familiar, but the delivery stays loose, live and appropriately rough around the edges.

The band’s sets naturally lean into grunge and alternative rock, while occasionally reaching beyond the strict tribute format with Texas rock, country and heavier material. That wider range makes PJ3 a good fit for neighborhood bars, outdoor stages and multi-band ’90s throwback bills rather than only dedicated tribute nights.

Around Central Texas, PJ3 has shared bills with Austin tribute acts celebrating Nirvana and Foo Fighters, while also appearing at Lake Travis-area rooms including Lucky Rabbit in Jonestown. For anyone who still likes their rock loud, earnest and powered by big choruses, PJ3 brings the Pearl Jam songbook back to the barroom where it belongs.
