Outlaws of Funk

Outlaws of Funk is an Austin live funk collective of musicians with wide-ranging backgrounds, woven together by deep grooves, outlaw country edges, and rock grit. The band is built for danceable, high-energy live sets—choicest cuts of funk, soul, and groove-forward rock that fill rooms without needing a national chart profile. Local calendars and socials (@outlawsoffunk) document club dates and special nights around town, positioning the group as a working Austin super-group of session and band players rather than a one-person brand. Expect locked-in rhythm sections, guitar and keys interplay, and a party-forward approach suited to bars, outdoor stages, and afternoon-into-evening crowds. Without a major streaming machine behind them, the best way to catch Outlaws of Funk is live—watch Austin gig listings and Instagram for the next show. Funk fans hunting local live energy will find a band that prioritizes the dancefloor and the room.
