Led by pianist, keyboardist, composer and arranger Ori Moore, the group blends swinging rhythms, expressive vocals and old-school country instrumentation into performances built for two-stepping.

Moore’s broader musical background includes jazz, blues, bluegrass and country, giving The Lonesome Rangers a strong musicianship that reaches beyond straightforward revivalism. Originally influenced by the musical heritage of his home state of North Carolina, he now studies jazz piano and composition at the University of Texas at Austin’s Butler School of Music. His experience includes nationally recognized jazz programs and performances connected with Jazz at Lincoln Center.
