About

Olivia Lauryn Dean (born 14 March 1999 in Haringey, London) is an English singer-songwriter whose warm, graceful voice bridges neo-soul, pop, jazz, and R&B. Raised in Highams Park by an English father and a Jamaican-Guyanese mother—and named Lauryn after Lauryn Hill—she studied at the BRIT School, taught herself piano and guitar, and first reached a wider public as a teenager when Rudimental invited her to stand in for Emeli Sandé, later featuring her on “Adrenaline.”

Her solo path ran through jazz-inflected early singles and the critically acclaimed debut Messy, which cemented her as one of the UK’s most compelling neo-soul voices. The 2025 sophomore album The Art of Loving (with producer Zach Nahome) pushed her global: multi-BRIT recognition, Mercury Prize nomination, Grammy Best New Artist, and breakout singles including “Man I Need” and “So Easy (to Fall in Love)” that climbed Spotify Global and Billboard charts. She became the first British woman with three UK top-10 singles since Adele—proof that thoughtful adult-contemporary soul still scales.

Expect polished soul-pop balladry and live-band warmth—thoughtful love songs with jazz and Motown DNA—when she brings The Art of Loving touring through U.S. markets including Austin and major Texas amphitheater stops.
