NOW Jazz Orchestra

NOW Jazz Orchestra—N.O.W. Jazz Orchestra—is Austin’s eighteen-piece modern jazz big band under the direction of John Vander Gheynst, whose all-original and national-composer repertoire puts contemporary big-band heat on Elephant Room 9pm bills as the city’s vanguard of large-ensemble jazz. Member-written charts and warehouse-district residencies track for rooms that want real jazz craft, not soft soft-smooth wallpaper. Tomorrow’s tomorrow energy, still NOW Jazz Orchestra every single night on the road and stage around Austin and beyond.

Expect big-band jazz heat when NOW Jazz Orchestra hits the stage—Elephant Room fire and brass punch, not a random open-mic NOW karaoke.
