Mountain Grass Unit

Mountain Grass Unit is the Birmingham, Alabama jamgrass quartet—Drury Anderson, Luke Black, Josiah Nelson, and Sam Wilson—whose Appalachian Smoke album era, IBMA Momentum Band of the Year heat, and 30-plus sold-out 2025 shows put modern bluegrass at the intersection of tradition and forward motion on Bonnaroo, Railbird, and nationwide club stages. Instrumental firepower, improvisation, and song-driven roots; @mountain_grass_unit and Spotify track Grand Ole Opry horizons and tour for rooms that want real folk craft, not soft soft-bluegrass wallpaper. Live-show chemistry, still mountain every single night on the road and stage.

Expect jamgrass heat when Mountain Grass Unit hits the stage—Birmingham fire, not a random open-mic Mountain karaoke.
