Mitch Watkins Trio

Mitch Watkins Trio is the working band of Austin guitar royalty Mitch Watkins—Austin Jazz Society Hall of Fame, Texas Guitar Hall of Fame 2022—whose lyrical jazz-to-folk touch put road time as lead guitarist for Leonard Cohen, Lyle Lovett, and Jerry Jeff Walker, plus Elephant Room trio bills and Monk’s Jazz legend heat. Studio and club calendars track the Godfather of Austin guitar for rooms that want real jazz craft, not soft soft-smooth wallpaper. Tasteful lyrical energy, still Mitch Watkins every single night on the road and stage around Austin.

Expect jazz-guitar heat when Mitch Watkins Trio hits the stage—Elephant Room fire, not a random open-mic Mitch karaoke.
