MICO

Jose Miguel Veloso (born 6 December 2002 in Toronto), known professionally as MICO (all caps), is a Filipino-Canadian singer-songwriter who built an audience first through Discord, Twitch, TikTok, and self-released EPs before graduating to sold-out North American and European headline tours. He attended Mayfield Secondary School in Caledon, Ontario, and cites live performance as the core of his identity as much as bedroom production.

His 2022 single “cut my hair” became a Canadian top-30 radio hit; a string of independent EPs—including 21st Century Heartbreak and Internet Hometown Hero—led to a 2025 Columbia Records deal and debut album When the Lights Turn On. The music blends 2000s/2010s pop-punk nostalgia with modern alt-pop and hyperpop edges, written about identity, online perception, heartbreak, and outgrowing home in real time.

Expect emotionally charged alt-pop rock and high-energy live shows when MICO plays U.S. clubs, theaters, and festival bills—including Texas stops on rising-pop packages.
