Meg & The Wheelers

Meg and the Wheelers make country music for people who still believe the dance floor is half the point.

Led by songwriter Meg Sampson, the Chicago outfit rolls through classic honky-tonk, country-western and barroom rock with pedal steel, tight harmonies and enough twang to keep the boots moving.

The songs may be full of busted romance, questionable choices and hard-earned advice, but the mood rarely stays down for long.

This is lively, traditional-minded country with a modern streak—music made to sound good with a beer in your hand and somebody spinning across the floor.
