Meagan Tubb

Meagan Tubb is an Austin singer-songwriter and slide guitarist whose music lives where Southern rock, blues, gospel, soul and Americana start bleeding into one another. Fronting Meagan Tubb & Shady People, she brings a tough, road-tested vocal presence and a guitar style that can move from swampy restraint to full-bore blues-rock heat.

Her songs pull from lived experience, motherhood, faith and the strange poetry hiding in everyday life, while the band surrounds them with dual-guitar muscle, deep-pocket rhythm and rich vocal harmonies. Over the years, Tubb has toured across the United States and Europe, opened for Willie Nelson, and earned recognition for “Let Me Believe,” which won an Independent Music Award in the blues category.

Albums including Cast Your Shadow and Signs and Wonders show an artist who understands Austin’s blues-rock lineage without sounding trapped inside it. Tubb’s music has grit, spirit and a little back-road mysticism—roots music played with sharp teeth, open skies and enough groove to keep the whole thing moving.
