Mac McIntosh Quartet

Mac McIntosh—also known as Brother Mac—is a native East Austin jazz and blues vocalist celebrated for dark, confident interpretations of the American songbook and blues standards. For years Austin audiences knew him fronting the Michael Hale Trio, bringing church-rooted phrasing and late-night polish to club stages across the city. The Mac McIntosh Quartet expands that sound for weekly residencies and special nights, delivering live vocal jazz-blues with a tight supporting band. McIntosh’s story is pure Austin: he grew up singing in church, then became a fixture of the city’s jazz and blues circuit with Chronicle coverage and long-running room residencies. Whether billed as Mac McIntosh or the Quartet, the set is a reliable dose of standards, blues, and groove-forward arrangements.
