About

Ropyr Madison Koe Wetzel (born 14 July 1992 in Pittsburg, Texas)—partly named for outlaw country icon David Allan Coe—is a Fort Worth–area singer-songwriter who smashes country, rock, hip-hop attitude, and ’90s grunge into rowdy, morning-after anthems. His mother was a touring country singer who put him on stage at six; football (including linebacker at Tarleton State) nearly won until he chose music, self-releasing early work as Koe Wetzel and Konvicts before Noise Complaint (2016) made him a Texas college-circuit phenomenon.

Major-label chapters and Columbia-era albums such as 9 Lives pushed him national: multi-billion streams, platinum “High Road” (with Jessie Murph), stadium openers for Morgan Wallen, and POLLSTAR-level tour tallies on the Damn Near Normal World Tour. Live shows are famously chaotic—volume, sweat, and a crowd that treats country bars like rock pits—while the songs stay rooted in East Texas honesty, party wreckage, and genre refusal rather than Nashville polish.

Expect outlaw country-rock with grunge crunch and party-ready chaos when Koe Wetzel rolls through Texas festivals, arenas, and outdoor bills built for people who came to get loud.
