Keegan McInroe
About
Keegan McInroe makes American roots music for people who still listen closely to the words. The Fort Worth singer-songwriter pulls from old country, blues, gospel and rock ’n’ roll, wrapping those influences around a weathered voice, deft fingerpicking and lyrics that can turn from bruised romance to sly social commentary without losing the thread.
McInroe has spent years working the international troubadour circuit, touring Europe extensively while continuing to roam the clubs, roadhouses and listening rooms of Texas. That mileage is all over his music. His 2023 album Agnes grew from repeated trips into the Big Bend country, while later releases such as Dusty Passports and Empty Beds and 2026’s Neon John lean into travel, heartbreak and romantic misadventure with wit rather than self-pity.
There is some Townes Van Zandt gravity and John Prine mischief in McInroe’s songwriting, but he never sounds like a tribute act. He is a genuine Texas lifer: literate, rough-edged and built for the long haul.
