Jon Parmentier

Jon Parmentier is an Austin-area acoustic guitarist who performs exclusively instrumental music—melodic, nature-inspired original pieces designed to paint pictures without vocals. Local listings describe his style as relaxing and precise, with albums and song cycles inspired by the Texas Hill Country and natural landscapes, including projects such as Gray Whale Migration and Texas Hill Country material. Parmentier has logged hundreds of gigs in Central Texas rooms, private events, and community venues, positioning himself as a singer-songwriter without the singing: storytelling through fingerstyle and clean acoustic tone. His online home includes parmsongs.com notes, Instagram @jonparmentiermusic, and YouTube performances of original instrumentals. The music is approachable for daytime cafés and listening rooms while remaining compositional rather than generic background guitar. For instrumental acoustic guitar with a nature-first sensibility, Jon Parmentier is a working Austin name with a clear catalog and booking footprint.
