Jon Blondell & Friends

Jon Blondell & Friends is the Austin Jazz Society Hall of Fame trombonist and electric bassist’s open-ended club project—pyrotechnic horn hero of Sublime’s Wrong Way solo, credits from Willie Nelson to world-class sessions—whose Jazz Orphans, Alive the Elephant Room, and rotating friend bills put multi-instrumental heat on Elephant Room and festival stages. YouTube and Elephant Room calendars track the residency energy for rooms that want real jazz craft, not soft soft-smooth wallpaper. Trombone titan energy, still Blondell every single night on the road and stage around Austin.

Expect brass-jazz heat when Jon Blondell & Friends hits the stage—Wrong Way fire, not a random open-mic Jon karaoke.
