Jacob Doddy

Jacob Doddy is part of the new crop of Texas songwriters doing things the old-fashioned way—writing the songs, working the honky-tonks and building a following one room at a time.

His sound leans into country and roots music with a rougher edge, built around strong vocals, guitar and songs that feel more lived-in than polished up. Fresh off the release of his 2026 single Whiskey Mouth, Doddy has been making the rounds at some of Central Texas’ most respected songwriter rooms, including Cheatham Street Warehouse and Poodie’s Roadhouse.

Expect honest Texas songwriting, a little grit and none of the Nashville gloss.
