Jack Johnson

Jack Johnson is the Oahu-born singer-songwriter, surfer, and Brushfire Records founder whose acoustic folk-pop defined early-2000s chill: debut Brushfire Fairytales (2001—“Flake,” “Bubble Toes”), On and On (2003), and smash In Between Dreams (2005—“Better Together,” “Sitting, Waiting, Wishing”) recorded at The Mango Tree with Adam Topol and Merlo Podlewski. Later cycles include Sleep Through the Static, To the Sea, From Here to Now to You, and environmental advocacy woven through global amphitheater tours. Mellow tenor, understated bass-and-percussion pocket, and beach-side lyricism made him a festival and radio constant without abandoning the DIY film-school roots.
