About
Grupo Frontera is a regional Mexican / música mexicana band from Edinburg and the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas—norteño and cumbia energy that jumped from quinceañeras and local stages to arenas and global charts. Core voices and players include Adelaido “Payo” Solís III, Juan Javier Cantú, Alberto “Beto” Acosta, Julián Peña Jr., Carlos Guerrero, and Brian Ortega; founding members have also launched BorderTown Records out of McAllen.
The group’s breakout era includes the Bad Bunny collab “un x100to,” a No. 1-level Latin/Hot 100 moment, Latin Grammy recognition for best norteño album (2024), and stadium-scale collaborations with Peso Pluma, Maluma, and more. Live, the show is accordion-forward party music with border pride and pop-scale hooks. Expect high-energy norteño-cumbia when Grupo Frontera rolls through Texas and beyond.
