Greg Mendez

Greg Mendez is the Philadelphia DIY songwriter whose Beauty Land album on Dead Oceans, self-titled breakthrough, I Wanna Feel Pretty, and economical cutting-truth craft put Beach Boys-but-make-it-effed-up melancholic joy on First Unitarian Church, Cat’s Cradle, and national indie stages. Fifteen years of relative obscurity between Philly and New York before the slow-burn breakthrough; @xgregmendezx and Spotify track tour and new albums for rooms that want real indie-folk craft, not soft soft-pop wallpaper. Restraint and simplicity as tools, still beauty land every single night on the road and stage.

Expect Philly indie heat when Greg Mendez hits the stage—DIY songwriter fire, not a random open-mic Greg karaoke.
