Forlini & Cross

Forlini & Cross are longtime Austin roots players with one boot in Texas blues and the other planted firmly in roadhouse rock, soul and country. The band’s sound is built around a weathered, powerhouse vocal delivery, sharp electric guitar work and the kind of loose-but-locked groove that comes from years of sharing stages rather than chasing trends.

Their Austin history runs deeper than the usual weekend circuit. Forlini & Cross appeared at Old Settler’s Music Festival as far back as 2000, and their song “Lucinda’s Eyes” was preserved in the Austin Music Network video archives. Their original “Wishin’ Well” later surfaced on the internationally released Texas Blues Voices compilation, earning notice for its impassioned Texas guitar and commanding vocals.

These days, the group remains a dependable live draw around Austin and the Hill Country, working everything from stripped-down acoustic sets to full-band shows at rooms such as the Saxon Pub, Poodie’s Roadhouse and Iron Wolf Ranch. It is seasoned, no-frills Texas music—soulful, bluesy and road-tested without sounding stuck in the past.
