Fleshwater

Fleshwater is the Boston alternative-metal / grungegaze band spun out of Vein.fm—Anthony DiDio (vocals/guitars), Marisa Shirar (lead vocals/guitars/keys), Jeremy Martin (bass), Jonathan Lhaubouet (guitars), and Josian Ramos (drums) after Matt Wood's exit. Closed Casket Activities debut We're Not Here to Be Loved (2022) mixed Deftones-weight mid-tempo crunch with shoegaze haze and dual-vocal melodic bite; Kurt Ballou production and tracks like Woohoo and Foreign made it a scene landmark. Sounds of Grieving (2023) flipped the debut into electronic remix space; sophomore 2000: In Search Of The Endless Sky (2025) stretched the canvas with longer arcs, grief themes, and trip-hop-to-breakbeat dynamics. National club and festival rooms get the full nu-gaze / alt-metal live heat—Vein DNA without pure metalcore blast.
