Elias Haslanger Quintet

Elias Haslanger Quintet is the Austin tenor saxophonist-composer’s hard-swinging working band—thirty-year native-Texan career, comparisons to Coltrane and Rollins—whose nine-plus leader albums including Elias Haslanger Meets Mike Sailors, A View of The City, and Legacy put original hard-bop heat on Elephant Room, Monk’s Jazz, and Continental Gallery Church on Monday residencies. elijazz.com and @eliashaslangermusic track release parties for rooms that want real jazz craft, not soft soft-smooth wallpaper. Legacy mentor energy, still Haslanger every single night on the road and stage around Austin.

Expect hard-bop heat when Elias Haslanger Quintet hits the stage—Legacy fire, not a random open-mic Elias karaoke.
