Doug Gill & Lynn Langham

About

Few songwriting duos arrive with a catalog as deep as Lynn Langham and Doug Gill. Individually they've written songs recorded by some of country music's biggest names, but together they've created a show built around the craft of songwriting itself—equal parts concert, writer's round and masterclass in Nashville storytelling.

Langham is a Grammy-winning songwriter whose composition "Old Yellow Moon" became the title track of Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell's Grammy-winning album. Her songs have also been recorded by Wynonna, Trisha Yearwood, Elizabeth Cook, Kathy Mattea and many others. Gill earned a Grammy nomination for "I Just Come Here for the Music," recorded by Don Williams and Alison Krauss, while his songs have been cut by Patty Loveless, Tammy Wynette, Gene Watson, The Marshall Tucker Band, B.J. Thomas and a long list of country and Americana artists.

Rather than simply revisiting old hits, Langham & Gill present the stories behind the songs—the inspiration, the writing sessions and the unexpected journeys that carried their music from notebook pages to Grammy-winning records. Their performances blend rich vocal harmonies, acoustic guitars and decades of songwriting wisdom into an intimate evening that feels equally at home in Austin listening rooms, house concerts and songwriter festivals.

For audiences who love the people behind the songs as much as the songs themselves, Langham & Gill deliver one of the most authentic writer's shows on the road today.
