Double Vision

Double Vision is the Austin contemporary jazz ensemble co-led by pianist-composer Hank Hehmsoth and saxophonist-flutist John Mills—Double Vision Jazz Ensemble—whose all-original cool-and-contagious sets, FOX 7 Austin studio heat, Monks Jazz and Elephant Room bills, and Texas Commission on the Arts roster put modern improvisation on club and college stages. Blending cool, contemporary, and groove-forward craft; hanksjazz.com, doublevisionjazz.bandcamp.com, and @doublevisionjazz track dates for rooms that want real jazz craft, not soft soft-smooth wallpaper. Fifty-fifty composition fire, still double vision every single night on the road and stage around Austin.

Expect contemporary jazz heat when Double Vision hits the stage—Hehmsoth/Mills fire, not a random open-mic Double karaoke.
